Since 2018, New Jersey has enacted or amended over a dozen employment laws, including the broadest pay equity law in the nation, a $15 per hour minimum wage, expanded liability for wage and hour violations, and an expansion of employee family leave entitlements and other benefits. Many of these laws carry significant penalties and liabilities, such as 100-200% liquidated damages, for non-compliance.
